Are You Saved?
Some Things the Unsaved Must Know
That You are a sinner and must be born again.
(Rom 3:23), “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
That you cannot save yourself by your own works.
(Eph 2:8-9), “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of Yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
That God (Jesus Christ) loves you and died for you,
(Rom 5:6), “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”
What you must do to be saved.
There are two commandments for the sinner to obey in order to be saved. They are not outward acts, but decisions of the heart and mind.
4a). Repent:
Repentance is a “change of mind” about your sins and looking to God for mercy, forgiveness, and cleansing through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, (Rom 3:23-25) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
4b). Believe:
“Have faith” (Acts 16; 30-31) And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
